I have a plumbing emergency, what should I do?

Once that’s done, give us a ring, no matter what the day or time is. We’ll be with you rapidly to resolve the problem.

While waiting for the plumber to arrive, remove any significant things close to the leak, and clean up any water or position a container to catch any drips. If you have turned the mains water off, switch off the hot water heating as well.

Help, I don’t know where the main water shutoff valve is!

You may have been shown it as a stopcock, isolating valve or toby. This valve is normally located on the boundary near the road, usually under a blue or black plastic cover.
