I have a plumbing emergency, what should I do?

Once that’s done, give us a ring, whatever the day or time is. We’ll be with you promptly to fix the leak.

While you wait for our plumber to arrive, start cleaning up any water, position a container to catch drips, and clear away important things from the affected area. If the house water is turned off, also switch off the heating for the hot water.

Help, I don’t know where the main water shutoff valve is!

You may have been shown it as a stopcock, isolating valve or toby. This valve is normally located on the boundary near the road, usually under a blue or black plastic cover.
